Straight outta where?

“Straight 'outta Chicago” is a modern styled blog that aims to tackle contemporary criminal issues in urban cities all across the U.S. Being that I myself was born and raised in the inner city of Chicago, Illinois, I have both experienced and witnessed personal encounters with crime and delinquency. Fortunately for me as a student athlete, I have been able to travel all over the United States, and a common trend amongst country dwellers and civilians in modern suburbia that has been brought to my attention, is the far gone idea that spikes in urban crime rates, (be it gang violence, juvenile delinquency, or even run ins with law enforcement) has absolutely no effect on them. Now don’t get me wrong, a casual street murder in Baltimore may not be a dinner topic of discussion in the homes of families in Johnston, Iowa, but we as American citizens are in the least bit connected.

This blog will delve deeply into personal issues on a case by case basis of families, victims, and even persecutors of a range of urban crimes in America, and how they affect our society. What better place to start then to hear it from someone who can give you real facts based on true experiences. I’m coming to you. And I’m coming Straight ‘outta Chicago.
