The CeaseFire Initiative
Ceasefire USA is a non profit organization that encompases 30 different afiliate states whose goals are to help decrease crime rates, especially gun violence in urban cities across the U.S. My focus however, was on both the Pennsylvania and Uptown Chicago (my neighborhood) Branches of the organization. Ceasefire PA is thriving with thousands of followers and a large social meia presence, whereas the Ceasefire Uptown has been struggling to find appropriate funds and constant volunteer help. My goal is to monitor the two programs and study the differences between the two and figure out ways to to ultimately help the Uptown branch in Chicago rebuild its program.
